Luis Miguel Hoyos’ Carnaval Natural is one of those coffees that immediately stands out for its depth and complexity. Produced in Colombia and naturally processed at Villa Gloria, this Castillo variety delivers a rich, fruit-forward cup layered with vibrant sweetness and structure. Through extended anaerobic fermentation and careful natural drying, Luis brings out an intensely expressive profile that feels both refined and wildly approachable.
In the cup, we’re tasting a winey mouthfeel upfront, followed by bright lemon acidity and deep notes of sticky dates and honey-like sweetness. The result is a juicy, syrupy coffee with a lingering finish that keeps evolving as it cools. This is a coffee built for people who love expressive naturals with bold character and a ton of sweetness.
Huge shoutout to Yellow Rooster for sourcing and importing such a special lot and helping bring coffees like this to roasters across the country.
