Colombian La Piragua – Natural Process
A fruit-forward Colombian natural with clarity, structure, and depth.
This single lot coffee is sourced from the Vargas family at La Piragua in Huila, Colombia, and grown at 1,800 meters above sea level. Naturally processed, this lot brings out a vibrant and layered profile while maintaining balance and a clean finish.
In the cup, expect a silky mouthfeel, with notes of peaches, hibiscus, and semi-sweet chocolate. The natural process enhances fruit intensity without overwhelming the structure, making it an excellent choice for a daily ripper.
La Piragua operates not only as a farm but also as a central processing hub for neighboring producers. Many local families rely on this facility to process their coffee, with women playing a key role in harvesting and cherry selection. This coffee represents both quality production and meaningful impact in the region.
Despite regional challenges, the Vargas family continues to invest in sustainable and regenerative farming practices, producing consistently high-quality coffees year after year.
